Microsoft Access repair and modernisation
Many businesses have run on an Access database for years. We keep it running — and when the time is right, we move it safely to something modern.
// sound familiar?
Signs your Access application needs help
- Forms or reports suddenly won't open.
- You get errors such as "Unrecognized database format".
- It slows down as soon as more than one person uses it.
- The person who built it is no longer around — and nobody knows how it works.
- It only works on one computer in the office.
// our approach
First stable, then modern
We start by making the application safe: a full backup, an examination of the tables, forms and code, and repairing what is broken.
Then we decide together what comes next — often moving the data to SQL Server so more people can work safely at the same time, or moving step by step to a web system.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to replace Access completely?
Not necessarily. Often it is enough to stabilise the application and move the data to SQL Server. We advise honestly on what is best for your business and budget.
Which versions of Access do you support?
Access 2007 to Microsoft 365, including .mdb and .accdb files.
Will I lose data?
We always work on a copy first, and after every step we check that all records are still there. The original stays untouched until you are satisfied.
What is the Access Doctor?
Our own tool that detects corruption in Access forms and reports early and keeps text snapshots of every form, so a damaged form can be restored without rebuilding it. See Access Doctor.
